Most prominent BIM projects in Canada
« on: April 12, 2017, 01:12:41 pm »
I am constantly looking for examples of Canadian BIM projects to include in lectures and seminars I do as examples of Canadians stepping up to the plate for BIM.

What are the best, or most well known, ones people in Canada: (e.g. some of the most well known project I can think of)
  • Human Rights Museum - Winnipeg
  • Women's College Hospital - Toronto
  • Aeroport Quebec - Quebec
  • Bergeron Centre - York University
  • Videotron Centre - Quebec
  • Vancouver Convention Centre -Vancouver

Can you suggest others? Edmonton Oilers? ...

Hi

You mean Rogers Place where Garth Brooks sold out 9 consecutive shows!  ;D

http://www.rogersplace.com/time-lapse/

It is only one part of the puzzle there or here in Edmonton, that site will also have the tallest tower in western Canada, Stantec Tower  @ +- 63 floors 850' AFF and 3 other sky scrapers all in what is now called ICE District.

Edmonton is growing up!

There are also the Canadian Airports additions and construction since 2005 + or - a few years.

Good call on this one!  Definitely appropriate.

Do we know what uses BIM served in the project? Design, coordination? Will there be a hand-over?
